Our event focused around the phrase:

 

Travel to a degree you'll love!

 

This phrase allowed us to create a fun, yet professional environment that was conducive to learning about the HTM program.

 

Decorations:

 

We chose the colors green apple, navy blue, and tan. We incorporated these into the table clothes and balloons that we purchased. We also used maps to make triangular pennant banners to hang around the room. Each table also had a jar of sand with flags from different countries as a center piece. 

 

Activites:

 

The idea to make a "passport" came from the idea of traveling around the room which ended up being a fun and easy way to incorporate the theme. 

 

Marketing:

 

Our marketing images utilized maps, compasses, and scenic pictures to drive the theme of the event further. 

 

Food & Beverage:

 

Our food and beverage was displayed in antique luggage and we displayed signs that labeled them as "inflight" snacks and beverages to play off the theme as well.
